Help > Create and Make Use of Diary Templates
Create a New Diary TemplateThere may be times that you would be writing diaries with similar structure (such as a travel diary or etc), and when it happens, sometimes it would be pretty frustrating to have to refer to the previously written diary format in order to keep them in a consistent way. When this happens, Chrysanth NETime Diary allows you to create some pre-defined diary templates to facilitate your diary writing process. In order to make full use of the diary template feature of this diary software, you have to create your pre-defined diary templates first. You may do so by accessing the New Template menu as illustrated below:
Then you will be presented with a familiar diary template editor, similar to that of the editor for your usual diary writing purpose. Use this editor to create some skeletal framework like the structure of the diary type that you would be writing from time to time. In the example below, the diary template is based on some basic travel related information:
When this is done, save the diary template and it will be ready for use in the next section.
Write Diary with a Selected Diary TemplateTo write a new diary with the created diary template, all you have to do is start by selecting a proper diary template by accessing Select Template... menu.
A diary template selection window will be shown and you may select from the list of previously saved diary templates. Click Create Diary From Selected Template... button to recall the diary template as the base framework for your new diary.
When a diary template is selected to start writing your new diary, it will present you with the previously stored skeletal framework which will ease your effort in trying to organize some pretty repetitive and trivial diary writing tasks.
